There are several kinds of dissipative bags that are typically used in the electronic and semiconductor industries. They are:
1. Pink polybags: clear and see-through. The antistatic agents used are usually amines, quaternary ammonium, or hydrophilic surfactants, which are not wash-resist or scrub-resist, are temporarily antistatic. The surface resistivity of these material are 109~1011Ω/sq, yet no shielding effect.
2. Black conductive PE bags: The bags are made of carbon black filled PE. The surface resistivity can reach 103~105Ω/sq. The pro is faster static dissipative rate, while the cons is the potential contamination.
3. Anti-static shielding bags: A multi-layer structure composes of CVD (chemical vapor deposition) aluminum or nickel. The pros are of some shielding and translucent; the cons are the cost, opaque, temporarily antistatic and the reusability.
4. Shielding bags:A multi-layer structure composes of aluminum foil. The pros are the shielding performance, moisture barrier; the cons are the cost, opaque, temporarily antistatic and the reusability.

1. KennElec Ecobags are permanently antistatic while polybags and most of the shielding bags are not.

3. The surface resistivity of KennElec Ecobags is independent of humidity while that of polybags is strongly dependent of humidity.

5. KennElec Ecobags are durable, washable and recyclable while others are not.
6. KennElec Ecobags are free of amines and no contamination while polybags and most of the shielding bags are not.
